On February 2, 2013, GISIE held its first event where 30+ girls ages 6-14 gathered together in Greenville, MS for a Goal Setting & Vision Board Workshop. Each girl learned the importance of setting goals for herself, the importance of being respectful and loving, created her own vision board of what she'd like to accomplish both now and in the near future, and was taught the value of what it means to "Speak LIFE" over herself! The girls feasted on a healthy breakfast and tasty snacks, and was given the opportunity to creatively express themselves as well as build lasting friendships. The memories experienced this day were priceless! For successfully completing the workshop, each beautiful girl was pinned with an "Ask Me About My Goals" button, and she also took home a globe keychain (because SHE rules the world!) and a special, homemade gift that consisted of a hand scrub (Pretty Praying Hands), courtesy of Shenina Brown, that encourages the girls to pray for themselves and at least one other person every time she scrubbed her pretty hands with the sweet smelling, moisturizing hand scrub created specifically for her. The girls, and even the parents and Girl Scout volunteers, that attended really enjoyed themselves. Thank you to everyone that helped make the 1st GISIE event a blessed, inspiring success!
